The Virginia Sportsmen's Foundation provides outdoor education to first-time hunters, hosts an annual wild game chili cook-off and holds hunting and fishing outings with veterans and law enforcement officers.
In cooperation with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the Virginia Sportsmen’s Foundation is hosting a Hunter Skills Weekend at Liberty Corner Farm in Albemarle, VA. Taught by Ike Wright, a registered Maine hunting guide and a Master Outdoor Hunter Education instructor with over 40 years of outdoor experience, course participants receive their required Hunter Safety Course certificate after 6 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction. This program is also made possible by 001 Outdoor Adventures, Albemarle Sheriff Chip Harding and Virginia Beach Sheriff Ken Stolle.
